President, vR Systems AG

It has been a year since I developed an agreement with Metso Paper to change the ownership of Metso Paper AG, which was previously von Roll Handling.
Metso Paper remains as a minority shareholder, and Pesmel Corp., a Finnish material-handling expert, has been asked to join us as a minority shareholder as well as a strategic partner.
This new ownership guarantees the company a solid background for our operations and an expanded product offering. Pesmel will bring their vast experience in the material handling while its subsidiary AWA will bring their AS/RS business segment knowledges.

Our focus is still in producing high quality, Swiss made material handling systems to the printing and converting industries. However, both industries are faced with a tremendous price pressure. Therefore vR Systems needs to develop new, more economical solutions for our customers to fit their needs as well as their budgets.
Our new EcoRail product family will be the answer to this challenge.

The level of automation in the roll handling area, within both printing and converting industries, has been much lower than in many other industries. vR Systems has taken this as a challenge, and as a result of an intensive two-year development process, we have now introduced a new fully automated roll preparation line with EcoStrip and EcoPrep systems.
This new automation level has resulted in labor costs savings, as well as improving the roll quality and consistency to the ever-higher speed of printing presses.
We have demonstrated a 99.9% success rate in splicing operations. The proof is in our customers' statements on EcoPrep Product information. This has a great impact in the overall efficiency of the whole printing process.
